Burglary Suspect Sought 1300 block of LaSalle Avenue

The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect who is responsible for a burglary that occurred. The investigation revealed that on October 12, 2009 between 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a business located in the 1300 block of LaSalle Avenue. The suspect entered the building through an open window. Once inside the building the suspect stole a
computer. He then left the building.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’4” to 5’7” tall, 160 to 180 lbs with a mustache and bald head. He was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt with unknown writing on the front, dark pants and white tennis shoes. Larceny 2012 Campostella Road Chesapeake

In the early morning hours of September 20, 2009 a larceny occurred from
Turf and Garden, located at 2012 Campostella Road. Shortly after midnight, the
unknown suspects removed three Dixie Chopper lawn mowers, a Walker lawn
mower and a Walker mower deck from the property. A trailer was used to haul the
property, valued at about $30,000.

Larceny 2448 Chesapeake Square Ring Road

On July 2, 2009 a larceny occurred at the Wal-Mart department store
located at 2448 Chesapeake Square Ring Road. At about 1:30 PM, the victim
inadvertently left a Navy Federal Credit Union debit card and picture ID at the
pharmacy counter.

The items were removed from the counter by the persons in line
behind the victim. The debit card was then fraudulently used, that same afternoon,
at the Chick-Fil-A restaurant located at 4204 Portsmouth Boulevard and
Portsmouth Beauty Supply located at 603 Frederick Boulevard.

Briarfield Road Homicide – Hampton

Second Suspect Arrested and One Suspect Sought in Briarfield Road Homicide On August 17, 2009 at approximately 4 p.m., Jonathan Maurice Rouser, a 23-year-old Newport News man, who resides in the 1100 block of 34th Street, turned himself in at Police Headquarters. Rouser has been charged with 1 count of Murder and 1 count of Use of a Firearm While in Commission of a Felony.

On August 10, 2009, Andra Gabrael Green, a 23-year-old Newport News man, who resides in the 600 block of 36th Street, was arrested and charged with 1 count of Murder and 1 count of Use of a Firearm While in Commission of a Felony. Both Rouser and Green are currently in the custody of the Hampton City Jail. Lavelle Ozwan Clyburn, a 14-year-old Newport News male juvenile, who has a last known address in the 1200 block of Ivey Avenue, has petitions on file for 1 count of Murder and 1 count of Use of a Firearm While in Commission of a Felony. On August 9, 2009 at 6:46pm, the Hampton Police Division received multiple calls in reference to a shooting that had occurred in the 1500 block of Briarfield Road.

Officers responded and located the victim lying in the parking lot of an apartment complex suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was transported by medics to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 7:32 p.m. The investigation revealed that the victim exited his vehicle when three male suspects armed with handguns approached him. The victim attempted to run from the suspects and was then shot in the back one time. The victim has been identified as Bryan Latre Carolina, a 29-year-old Hampton man, who resides in the 2100 block of Cunningham Drive.
