Suspicious Teenager 3000 blk Monet Dr. 23453

On Monet Dr. 23453, Landstown Lake, several neighbors have witnessed a teenager acting suspicious on numerous occasions. He is described as over six feet tall, skinny with black curly hair and a “long” face. He has been witnessed looking in cars, and house windows. His activity has been witnessed from Holland on Monet Dr. to Monet Dr. and Damn Neck. He has also been observed on Bloomfield Drive. The suspect was kicked out of Landstown High School so this activity may also happen during school hours as well as at night since he lacks supervision. Additionally, both father and son associate with an ex felon convict who continues the break the law. In addition to trespassing, he is a suspected of peeping through windows at night.

The suspect has already been caught entering and stealing property and putting items on other’s property. This includes stolen items, toilet paper and garbage in general. The suspect has been observed shooting rocks at ducks and a house with a sling shot. Also, this individual is a suspect in throwing eggs at vehicles, rocks on other’s property, car vandalism & opening mail boxes in addition to putting items inside mailboxes. He prefers to hang out with younger children and his father is an E-9 in the Navy who works at NAS Oceana and appears to support some types of behavior such as trespassing. His breakfast of choice since middle school is coke and candies.

His usual cycle is to run away from home, return, break the law or create an incident where the police visit his home and then run away again. On his last return he appeared unkempt. If you see this individual acting suspicious please contact the police – they are aware of his activities and lack supervision.

On February 13 2008, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. an individual trespassed on a residence and pried opened a locked gate. The gate was pried open with the lock in the closed position. This criminal activity has happened on numerous occasions in the Landstown Lakes area of Virginia Beach. It is believed this is the same individual observed trespassing in the resident’s backyard on another occasion. The miscreant is described as a white male approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches with a goatee. This individual is also supected of peeping through windows at night. If you notice someone peeping through your window, you are urged to contact the Virginia Beach Police immediately.

On February 21 2010, at approximately 5:10PM, a teenager was observed running onto a property with a grey religious statue with another individual running behind him. They ran to the side of the house, dropped off the statue and left. Police responded.

The first teenager, described as white, six feet tall with curly black hair is the same suspect in some vandalism cases. The second teenager is described as heavyset with dark skin, approximately 5ft 5in. Should you have any information regarding this individual or the statues, please contact the police. The owner of the statue may contact the police to recover their property.

Between the hours of 6:00 P.M. on January 1st 2009 and 11:00 A.M. January 2nd, a vehicle was vandalized in the 3100 blk of Monet Dr. Suspects are described as four unsupervised teenagers between the age of 13 and 15. One is white male approximately 5′ 8” with wavy/ curly black hair. It is believed that his father is a Master Chief in the Navy.

Additionally this male teenager has been observed eating candy and drinking cokes for breakfast and on occasion, was observed throwing garbage on a resident’s property, then jumping on the on the garbage. Another suspect is described as white, very short with short hair. He has shown himself to be disrespectful to neighborhood parents. It is believed that one of his parents is in the Navy. Additionally there was a white female approximately 5′ 6” long blond hair and another female 5′ 5″ with brown hair.

This group of unsupervised teenagers is also suspected of participating in or having knowledge of other acts of vandalism on Monet Dr. Additionally, this group of teenagers has been observed standing around on the street for hours before the vandalism occurs and the damage discovered the next day.

On March 17 2008, a student locker was found pried open. The locker was pried open with the lock in the closed position. Items were taken from locker and money was stolen. Between 4:00 P.M. and 4:28 P.M. a Caucasian man in a green shirt, cream-colored pants driving a bright yellow pick up truck pulled up to a person near their residence. The individual claimed he was selling discounted steaks and gave the impression he was talking on the cell phone at the same time. Individual also asked if anyone was at the resident’s home during the day.

Home resident noticed the website DirectUSA.com on a brochure the man was holding. A subsequent search of that site revealed an unrelated dormant website. Further search of Direct USA revealed numerous fraud complaints related to their products and practices.

Individuals are cautioned not to purchase any products from this company and are encouraged to call the police if they suspect fraud or feel threatened. Question to ask – Why would you by meat off the back of a truck?

Also, contact your city Attorney’s Office about this fraud.

Do not answer any questions asking if you are home during the day or personal questions about yourself. Actually, don’t answer any of their questions.

Attempted Break-in Landstown Lakes

Person of Interest – Glenn Smith

On Friday the 19th, between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., three white male youths attempted to break into a residence in the 3200 block of Barberry Lane. Vigilant neighbors interrupted this unlawful entry. All three ran down the adjacent bike path towards Landstown Lakes.

One person with distinguishing dreadlocks hair and Bob Marley t-shirt may be identified as Glenn Smith and is a person of interest in this case. Glenn Smith is known to hang out with another individual by the name of TJ Traylor (spelling may not be correct.)

Neighbors have identified this individual in the area on prior occasions carrying a pipe or hammer. Additionally, they have been observed in the bike path.

Another neighbor saw three individuals meeting the same description with baseball or similar item and possibly a handgun in the same area.

UPDATE
It appears someone has been arrested for stealing from a residence. The suspect named Michael Perry claims an accomplice named “Downing” is involved. If anyone has additional information about the five individuals who were in the dark green vehicle, license plate KLT-7047, please contact the police.
