Strong Armed Robbery the 3100 block of Fairview Street Chesapeake

On October 8, 2009, a strong-armed robbery occurred at the 3100 block of Fairview Street. Shortly after 7:00 PM, the victim had delivered a pizza at a residence before being approached by three suspects. One of the suspects demanded money from the victim. The suspect subsequently assaulted the victim when he refused to surrender any money.

The suspects then fled on foot toward Tatemstown Road. All suspects are described as black males between 16 and 18 years old. They stood between 5’ 8” to 6’ tall and averaged about 140 pounds each. One suspect wore a black hooded jacket and another wore a grey hooded jacket with a plaid design on the front.

Larceny 2012 Campostella Road Chesapeake

In the early morning hours of September 20, 2009 a larceny occurred from
Turf and Garden, located at 2012 Campostella Road. Shortly after midnight, the
unknown suspects removed three Dixie Chopper lawn mowers, a Walker lawn
mower and a Walker mower deck from the property. A trailer was used to haul the
property, valued at about $30,000.

Larceny 2448 Chesapeake Square Ring Road

On July 2, 2009 a larceny occurred at the Wal-Mart department store
located at 2448 Chesapeake Square Ring Road. At about 1:30 PM, the victim
inadvertently left a Navy Federal Credit Union debit card and picture ID at the
pharmacy counter.

The items were removed from the counter by the persons in line
behind the victim. The debit card was then fraudulently used, that same afternoon,
at the Chick-Fil-A restaurant located at 4204 Portsmouth Boulevard and
Portsmouth Beauty Supply located at 603 Frederick Boulevard.

Larceny from a vehicle – Olive Garden parking lot

On August 10, 2009 a larceny from a vehicle occurred in the Olive Garden parking lot located at 4117 Chesapeake Square Boulevard. The rear passenger window was broken while the vehicle was parked in the lot between 5:45 and 11:15 PM.

A woman’s yellow purse containing various credit and debit cards was removed from the vehicle. Prior to the cards being canceled they were fraudulently used at several locations, to include the ABC store located at 4020 Victory Boulevard, in Portsmouth. The image of the suspects was taken on the same evening, shortly before 7:00 PM.

Burglary 2617 Moses Grandy Trail

On December 10, 2008, a burglary occurred from the Food Lion grocery store located at 2617 Moses Grandy Trail. Shortly before 1:30 AM, two suspects approached the front door of the business and broke the glass window. The male suspect removed a 5 gallon bottle that was placed on the customer service counter.

The bottle contained an undetermined amount of money that was to be a donation for the Children’s Miracle Network. The female suspect approached the cigarette carton cabinet but did not gain access to it.

Both suspects then fled the scene by unknown means. The male is described as white and about 5’ 8” tall, 140 pounds. He was last wearing a black hooded jacket over dark colored jeans and black sneakers. The female is described as white and about 5’ 4” tall, 120 pounds. She was last wearing a black hooded jacket, with a large imprint on the back, over light colored jeans and red/white sneakers.

Burglary 1101 N Battlefield Boulevard

On February 21, 2009, a commercial burglary occurred from the Krasnoff Chiropractic Center located at 1101 N. Battlefield Boulevard. At about 6:15 PM, cleaning staff arrived to discover an open back door. Police arrived and found that the door had been forced open. Several rooms were ransacked and a Dell Latitude D530 laptop computer was stolen.

Within a week of this burglary two residential burglaries had also occurred in the Red Oak subdivision. During the early morning hours of February 15, 2009, a large, brown purse was stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Lenore Trail. The purse contained money and several credit cards. There was no known forced entry to the house.

During the early morning hours of February 24, 2009, another residence in the 300 block of Lenore Trail was broken into. A Nintendo Wii game system, Insignia DVD player, Motorola RAZR mobile phone and purse containing personal items were stolen after the rear window was broken. There are no known suspects, at this time.

Assault in AMF bowling Alley 3101 Lynnhurst Boulevard

On January 17, 2009, an assault took place in the AMF bowling Alley located
at 3101 Lynnhurst Boulevard. Shortly after 12:30 AM, the suspect confronted an
employee by making a personal accusation. As the employee denied the accusation
the suspect grabbed a glass ashtray and began striking the employee about the face
and head. The suspect is described as a black female, 18 to 22 years old and about
5’ 4” tall, 125 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, with a fur collar,
over blue jeans.

Shooting in Crest Harbor section of Chesapeake

On January 31, 2009, a shooting at an occupied vehicle occurred in the Crest
Harbor section of Chesapeake. The vehicle was traveling north on Dominion
Boulevard, approaching Mullen Road, when a bullet came through the driver side
door. The bullet went through the driver’s jacket sleeve and grazed her hand. The
bullet seems to have come from a large caliber weapon.

Shooting on Commerce Avenue in Chesapeake

On September 23, 2008, a shooting occurred in the 1100 block of Commerce
Avenue. Shortly before 10:30 PM, the two victims were walking along Commerce
Avenue, with two other people, when a red truck pulled up beside them. Of the four
suspects, three jumped out of the truck and confronted the group just before firing
shots.

One of the suspects jumped back into the truck as it fled toward Park
Avenue. The two other suspects ran between houses toward Hoover Avenue. All
are described as black males in their late teens between 5’ 11” and 6’ tall. All wore
dark hooded sweatshirts with one wearing a Spiderman mask.
