The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) involved in a maiming. On February 7, 2009 at 3:45 p.m., the victim, a 74-year-old Hampton man, was inside a home located in the 600 block of Gary Lane. Unknown suspect(s) entered the home and struck the victim over the head several times with an unknown object. The suspect(s) stole the victim’s vehicle, a 1999 Dodge Durango, along with several credit cards.

The vehicle has since been recovered. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment for several lacerations to his head. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening at this time. There is no description of the suspect(s) at this time. As further information becomes available it will be released.
